Grandma, my hands have wondered
and my legs
my little legs are getting weak
Bid, lend me your wispy frame
and guard my powers
guard my precious powers in its gate...

Pencils on smooth paper.
While making it, I was often listening to "Il merlo rosso" (The Red-winged Blackbird), by an Italian singer called Mannarino. Here is a direct link to it in case you are curious www.youtube.com/watch?v=AUS_bt…
The girl is called Jorden and I have found her portrait between the beautiful photos of carlafedje-x Take a look at her gallery, you won't regret it! :)

*The drawing is much bigger than my scanner, so I had to blend many single scanned parts into one. The bad thing is that they don't perfectly match. :)

EDIT:
Thank you Kate and Sam for the DD! I'll have to take some time to answer all the comments.

I'd like to start from bottom to top, but I think this time I'll de the reverse..

You drew her hair beautifully. the lighting, and the darkening makes it look almost life like.I think the lift corner of her hair should have been darker, or angled better.

I've always had trouble with making two eyes match, but you did a splendid job of it! He face is shaded, and formed very well.

I like how you coloured the clothing a little to add to the image.
The flowers on the side really add to the image. I'm not sure what all the plants are -the little puffy flower?- but the look wonderful.

The birds are beautiful. They really add to this image, and the character.
I love how you did the feathers, and the shading.

I'm not going to expand/ say a lot about the cracked flesh, but I'll will mention some things about it. I think it was drawn very well, and it makes an impression. It is a little gruesome the more you pay attention to it, but not to much to take the elegance factor out of the image.

The flowers on the bottom were drawn well, and they make it look more impacting. The symbols on the bottom were a nice touch, and while I personally have some familiarity with them other may not, and I don't think for either of the groups that it takes anything away from the image. I like how you had a middle tone, black tone, and white tone symbols.

Thanks for sharing.
